Bitcoin ATMs being installed at a faster pace than traditional

It’s easy to get caught up in the doom and gloom of the headlines, but the spread of Bitcoin and other crytocurrencies is apparent almost everywhere – including ATMs.

Bitcoin ATMs (or BTMs) are now being installed at a faster rate than bank ATMs, with an average of five a day being created around the world. This brings the total to 2,177 (as of now), with 43 per cent of the machines supporting other ‘altcoins’.

America, perhaps unsurprisingly, is top dog here with 1,296 machines in total. Then comes Canada on its heals with 340, and the UK with 108.

One notable thing about this news is that many of these installations have occurred over the last few months, when the volatility of Bitcoin has deterred many from investing in the cryptocurrency world.
