‘Bitcoin Jesus’ says he may launch his own cryptocurrency exchange

Roger Ver teases the launching of his own crypto exchange…

An early proponent and investor in Bitcoin, Roger Ver, has revealed that he is considering launching his own crypto exchange, which will run through Bitcoin.com.

Ver, an advocate for Bitcoin Cash and the CEO of Bitcoin.com, is now completely behind the aforementioned Bitcoin Cash offshoot. Perhaps, in a bid to boost traction for BCH, he has announced he is thinking of launching his own crypto exchange.

He was speaking in an interview in Malta this week when he made the announcement, reports Bloomberg. During the interview, Ver also added that he is looking for a partner to produce the platform, or failing that, they will “build one internally”.

He remarked that “if we build it ourselves, we can do it really, really cheap, and we get exactly what we want. But we don’t have the security of a battle-tested exchange that’s been around for a while”.

Ver is reported as saying that the base currency for the exchange will be Bitcoin Cash. Additionally, he is looking forward to bring the traffic from Bitcoin.com. He argued that “we’ll have thousands or tens of thousands of new users every single day.”

Any other update regarding the exchange wasn’t forthcoming. It remains to be seen if and when Ver launches it and what kind of impact it will have on the community.

The news comes at a time when adoption of Bitcoin Cash seems to be waning. Interestingly, the announcement from Ver didn’t appear to have done much to its value, with BCH’s drop overnight in line with general market performance, rather than a spike of its own.
