During the 2018 THINK conference, which features some of the biggest players across the tech industry, IBM publicly backed blockchain while acknowledging its potential impact.
The Merkle reports Marie Wieck, IBM’s general manager for blockchain services, speaking at the conference about use cases and future methods for pushing adoption. Many of the speakers at the conference also addressed blockchain.
The company unveiled the ‘world’s smallest computer’, which would enable organisations to more easily incorporate blockchain platforms into their supply chain systems.
Wieck told Australia’s Finacial Review: “My very simple analogy is that 2016 was all about blockchain tourism and sightseeing, and last year was pilots and proof of concepts. This year, those plans are all going into production.”
