India firm partners with Canadian institute in bid to get into blockchain

One of India’s top tech organisations has signed an agreement with Canada’s Blockchain Research Institute (BRI) in order to learn more about the technology.

The National Association of Software and Services Companies will work with BRI researchers so that developers can gain the skills and knowledge they can then apply to work in India.

A ‘Memorandum of Understanding’ has been signed, which requires each nation to invest in webinars and seminars where knowledge and expertise can be shared.

Don Tapscott, founder and executive chariman of the BRI, said: “We see our coalition with Nasscom as a delightful opportunity to nurture the blockchain community in India. We strongly believe that India has the potential to lead the blockchain revolution.”
