John McAfee takes fresh aim at the SEC, reckons he will rip it a new backside

John McAfee is no fan of the Securities and Exchange Commission…

Controversial cryptocurrency advocate has aimed his latest Tweet in the direction of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the regulatory body in the USA that’s been clamping down on ICOs and denying Bitoin-backed exchange traded funds.

Some in the cryptocurrency industry have been worried about the actions of the SEC, and what it’s up to. Furthermore, the impact that it may have on the industry.

We’re going to go out on a limb here and suggest that John McAfee is not one of those people. McAfee, who frequently cites outlets who make news stories out of his Tweets, posted the following to his feed…

In a subsequent post, he answered the question as to whether the SEC is toxic to the investment environment in the States. Again, it’s not tricky to guess which side of the fence he falls. “Not just America”, he said. “That seeping postule of an agency reaches to every corner of the earth, turning creativity, hard work and honest ventures into withered trophies”.

He isn’t a fan. And he’s had a run-in with the SEC previously…

Whether the SEC is currently gunning for McAfee is unclear. But following the legal setback it faced at the end of last week, it may not have quite the power it though it had. We wait and see…
