Litecoin has come out on top for February, ending the second month of 2018 in the green while other cryptocurrencies flounder.
The coin is up by more than 21 per cent, reports Business Insider, while Bitcoin has dropped by 4 per cent. Doing even more poorly are Ethereum and Ripple’s XRP, which are down 20 and 22 per cent respectively.
The site notes that Litecoin benefited from being added to the Bloomberg Terminal at the start of February, which allowed global financial clients to better track its price alongside other cryptocurrencies.
Overall, as of Wednesday morning (28 February), the total market is down 8 per cent at $449 billion.
