Baroness Michelle Mone’s plan to sell a collection of 50 luxury Dubai homes using bitcoin seems to have been a success, as they’ve almost all gone.
Mone, who achieved great success as the founder of Ultimo, teamed with businessman Douglas Barrowman on the project which saw them set aside flats in a huge development for bitcoin buyers. Now only a couple remain on the market, reports City AM.
The pair bought the two 40-storey towers back in September.
This is not the property market’s first foray into cryptocurrency, with two properties sold in the UK using bitcoin at the end of last year and a property in Japan put up for sale in Bitcoin last week. There have also been crypto-sales accepted in Florida.
