When you have a generous crypto community along with a social media platform trying to notify the world of your mission, individual efforts to raise funds for a good cause can go a very long way. That’s certainly the case here.
The individual in discussion is Twitter user KingBlue. He started the XRP donation drive last year to raise funds for the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in America.
Headquartered in Tennessee, St. Jude’s mission is to make advancement in health sectors to prevent catastrophic diseases affecting children. As of today, the hospital has increased its overall cancer survival rate from 20% to 80%. In its unique operation model, no family ever receives a bill to pay for insurance co-pays and deductibles, as most of them are covered by generous donors.
In a Tweet published yesterday, KingBlue_XRP notified his followers about the 21,000 XRP received during the donation drive, with XRP Tip Bot, Coil and deposits within four months. Here is the tweet, that he republished from St Jude’s hospital…
@KingBlue_XRP Thank you for your unique effort to collect XRP for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital! We are in the process of setting up mechanisms to collect XRP and other crypto currencies from you and likeminded generous givers. Stay tuned!!

KingBlue_XRP has regularly been updating the actual numbers of funds raised by the campaign on Twitter. The stats for the drive are that he’s received 705 tips via the XRP tip bot itself. A further 84 XRP has been donated using Coil, and 19,403.7 XRP has been directly deposited. That leaves the running total at 21,012.05 XRP and counting. Very, very fine work.
