Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey is the latest person to run a Bitcoin Lightning Network node

Twitter co-founder and CEO Jack Dorsey has installed a Bitcoin Lightning Network full node he received from Casa.

The $300 device is sold by Casa and works both as a full Bitcoin node and a Lightning (LN) node. By running it, Dorsey is supporting the development of the Lightning Network and helping to establish the decentralised payment network.

The Casa Node is a plug-and-play solution built using a Raspberry Pi 3B+.

Dorsey, who’s also the CEO of Square, a fintech startup which also lets users buy and sell bitcoin, last month backed a trust-based game on the Lightning Network which went around the world.

The Bitcoin Lightning Network enables fast transactions between participating nodes and has been touted as a solution to the Bitcoin scalability problem.
